IMO the Velvet Underground's first album is unintentionally one of the most satanic sounding things ever recorded and truly holds a lot of the characteristics that would become the foundation of modern black metal. I wanted to hear a version of the album that made it even darker sounding and unable to find it previously done, I made my own. Some songs like Venus in Furs and Black Angels Death Song I did little, while the more poppier and folkier songs took a lot more work to make them all blend together. I replaced European Son with Nico's It Was a Pleasure Then because I felt it was a much better end to this mix. I made this for myself but putting it out there for others it may interest. Cassettes will be made to order so please know they may take a bit to get to you. Listen in stereo in candlelight.
