I wanted to do this album for a few reasons. First, I love Hank Williams, I think to this day no one has captured depression the way his words do. I have vivid memories as a kid of my step dad playing him in the dark woods while camping and that's still where I go when I close my eyes while listening to him. Second I wanted to start playing around with some new recording techniques before I start demoing out my next album, where Unholy Frequencies was meant to be as raw and live as possible, this let me play around with a lot more production effects and dubbing. Last, my biological father passed away a month ago of organ failure from a life of alcoholism, the same disease Hank suffered and eventually died from. While my father's death is not that significant to me, I have seen and lost a lot people close to me struggle with substance abuse problems. I also have so much respect for those who have struggled with an addiction and got the help they needed for it, which takes a lot of strength most people will never understand. I never planned on charging for any of my self released digital songs, however 100% of profits from this release will be donated to substance abuse research, which I think we still have a long way to go with how to best handle and treat. I will try my best to send everyone who donates a receipt for their donation. Thanks for any and all support.
